Life coaching is a process in which a coach helps individuals identify and achieve their personal goals. The coach works with the client to create a plan of action and provides support and guidance throughout the process.
Life coaching can help individuals improve their self-awareness, develop new skills, create a plan for achieving their goals, and overcome obstacles that may be holding them back from success.
The same qualities that made me a prime target for a narcissist - my intuitive and empathetic nature are the qualities that will allow me to walk with and guide you on your journey. I am many years removed from my own divorces. However, I have spent years healing, recognizing the abusive patterns of post-separation abuse, and acknowledging the trauma that both my children and I experienced, even after the divorce was final. Having the opportunity to become a certified life coach was absolutely the right thing for me at this point in my life--I get to be the person for others that I wish I had had by my side from the beginning. You don't have to walk this path alone.
Divorce coaching will save you money in attorney fees and help you make decisions faster. Divorce coaching will guide you to make the right decisions so that you will be able to look back and know you brought your best self to the table and made the best decisions you could. Often, people going through a divorce spend $300+ per hour talking to their attorneys about their ex and how upset they are, about all the details of their relationship rather than focusing on the actual divorce with no resolution and ends up costing more in attorney fees and added complications of the divorce and future modifications. You can't afford Not To! Divorce coaching will save you money in attorney fees and help you make decisions faster.
Life coaching sessions can vary in length, but typically last between 45 minutes to an hour. The frequency of sessions can also vary depending on the your needs.
Life coaches are not there to tell you what to do. I see you as creative, resourceful, and a whole on your own, and I am here to help guide you because I believe in your potential. We ask inquiring questions, offer modern perspectives, and will challenge you in order to encourage your journey to a more peaceful life. We will direct you to valuable resources, tools, and unique box ideas.
We do not work on past-based issues or traumas. Life coaches are not psychologists or therapists. If there are unresolved issues from the past, we will encourage and at times require you to work through those issues with a licensed psychologist. It is very common for unresolved traumas or addictions to hinder us from moving forward in your life. We focus on the present and the your goals for the future. Most coaching clients are healthy, successful people who could be a bit stuck and are going through a difficult situation or simply want to make a big change in their lives with the support of a coach.
No. You are always responsible for your own life and, ultimately, make your own decisions and initiate your own actions. I provide positive support and encouragement by challenging you to think differently or suggest you try a different or more radical approach than you would normally take. You must decide whether to take the advice or not. I do not control your thoughts, actions, or life. My goal is for you to feel uplifted and motivated to take action at the end of each coaching call. It is your journey!
Yes, I coach anyone going through a divorce who needs support, motivation, and a helpful guide. I embrace differences in age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, socioeconomic status, and physical abilities. Everyone deserves to be their personal best!
At this time all sessions are held via video through the zoom platform. Safety and Security are important to me and I want you to feel safe and comfortable as you navigate your new normal. If other arrangements are needed, we can discuss that during the initial consultation.
